BUTT
The SOHC cylinder head is incredibly compact and lightweight, with the camshaft located as close to the center of gravity as possible, significantly improving performance while the short valve travel improves performance and responsiveness at low engine speeds. A new optimized rocker arm design offers increased stiffness and lower both intake and exhaust.
EXHAUST SYSTEM FMF
The Factory 4.1 RCT silencer incorporates the latest version of the FMF Resonance Chamber Technology ™ both internally and externally and features a blue anodized titanium outer body with a carbon terminal. In addition, it offers a shorter overall length that is less susceptible to damage and the muffler has been moved closer to the engine to centralize the masses. The Factory 4.1 RCT is made only from aerospace grade materials that meet exact specifications and is 100% manufactured at the FMF factory in Southern California.
PISTON AND CONNECTING ROD
Replicating the advanced technology used by Husqvarna’s competition department, a new box-in-box forged piston features a compression-groove groove with hard anodizing and an optimized connecting rod and barrel profile, while the new connecting rod signed by Pankl features a bushing at the end of the piston that reduces friction in connection with the bolt, resulting in the highest level of performance and reliability.
CARBON FIBER SUBCHASSIS
The composite subframe is a unique Husqvarna design that showcases pioneering technologies and innovation. Made of 70% polyamide and 30% carbon fiber, the two-piece rear subframe weighs just over 1 kg. Apart from a remarkable robustness, special care has been taken to achieve perfect rigidity for optimal behavior and comfort.
BREMBO BRAKES
The highest level of braking performance is guaranteed by the highest quality Brembo set of knobs and calipers. The 260mm floating front disc and 220mm solid rear disc offer superior stopping power and total confidence in all conditions. A standard front disc guard keeps it safe from possible damage.
MECHANIZED STEERING PLATES
Manufactured from high-quality aluminum, Factory machined bars feature optimized rigidity on the steer axle, perfect alignment of fork legs and precise geometry of the clamps without bottle ovalization, ensuring fork action highly sensitive and smooth. By simply adjusting the offset to 20 or 22 mm, a great difference in performance is obtained.
MAGURA HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
The high-quality German Magura clutch system is virtually maintenance-free and ensures even wear and perfect modulation in any condition. This means that the play is constantly compensated so that the resistance point and the operation of the clutch are not affected by temperature or the passage of time.
LIGHTWEIGHT CHASSIS
The chassis, consisting of hydroformed laser-cut and robot-welded tubes, is meticulously manufactured to meet carefully calculated torsional and longitudinal bending parameters, and offers increased longitudinal stiffness resulting in better ride sensations, energy absorption and stability. The chassis is finished with a high-quality black powder coat and includes a carbon fiber reinforced engine guard and standard chassis guards for superior protection and durability.
FUNCTIONAL BODYWORK
The FC 450 Rockstar Edition features bodywork that clearly reflects Husqvarna Motorcycles’ pioneering design approach to offroad motorcycles. Its ergonomics has been specifically studied to provide maximum comfort and control, allowing the pilot to perform at their best for a longer time. The seat profile and high-grip upholstery offer superior control and comfort in all conditions.
WP XACT SUSPENSION
The 48mm split type air fork features an air spring and pressurized oil chamber for more progressive and consistent damping. The damping is easily adjustable by a single air pressure valve for pre-loading (on the left bottle) and a 30-position dial for damping (on the right bottle). In addition, the air pump necessary to adjust the air pressure at the fork is supplied as standard with the motorcycle. The FC 450 Rockstar Edition also comes standard with a mechanical fork compression holeshot system, which minimizes front wheel lift at the exits.
PRO TAPER HANDLEBAR
As for practicality and style, the new Pro Taper handlebar is unrivaled. Manufactured with maximum precision, the new ProTaper handlebar offers the best fatigue resistance with minimal weight. The curvature of the handlebar further increases comfort by improving the pressure point in the rider’s hands.
FACTORY WHEEL SET
D.I.D. Anodized DirtStar rim rings combine with machined and anodized hubs to deliver maximum weight savings and optimize performance and stability on demanding terrain. The 36-spoke design includes anodized aluminum nipples to save even more weight and offer increased durability.
MAP CHANGE SWITCH
Optimized for easy operation, the new map change switch now allows you to choose between two engine curves, operates the output control, and activates the new traction control feature. Traction control works by analyzing the opening level of the gas grip received from the pilot and the rate of increase in RPM. If the RPM increases too quickly, the engine management system will record a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power to the rear wheel ensuring maximum traction.
44 MM THROTTLE BODY
The FC 450 Rockstar Edition equips a 44mm Keihin injection body. The injector has been positioned in such a way as to ensure the most efficient flow of fuel to the combustion chamber, while, in an effort to ensure optimum response from the gas grip, the cable is mounted directly without mechanical connections, thus obtaining a more spontaneous and immediate touch.
ELECTRIC START AND LITHIUM ION BATTERY
The advantage of the standard electric start system is combined with a lightweight 2.0 Ah lithium-ion battery in the FC 450.
