Description
ENGINE
The TC 250 engine equips the latest advances in 2-stroke technology, centralizing rolling masses and reducing vibrations, while offering the highest levels of performance in its class. The mechanical simplicity and low maintenance of 2-stroke engines have made these favorites among motocross riders for generations.
CYLINDER
The 66.4mm diameter cylinder incorporates a newly developed new exhaust valve system, delivering power in a smooth and controlled manner throughout the entire RPM range. The exhaust port also now features a machined finish that improves distribution and performance.
CRANKSHAFT CRANKCASE
The TC 250’s engine is designed with mass centering in mind. As a result, the lightweight cast engine casings have been designed to compactly locate the axles, centralizing and lowering the oscillating masses and improving overall balance, agility and maneuverability.
BALANCE SHAFT
The TC 250 incorporates an innovative side mounted balance shaft. This axle significantly reduces engine vibrations, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride.
CHASSIS
Precisely engineered for a perfect balance of robustness and torsional flex, the chassis offers increased longitudinal stiffness resulting in better ride sensations, superior energy absorption and performance, and straight-line stability. The chassis is finished with a premium powder blue paint coating and standard guards that guarantee unmatched protection and durability.
CARBON FIBER SUBCHASSIS
The rear subframe in composite material made of 70% polyamide and 30% carbon fiber is exclusive to Husqvarna Motorcycles. The new 2-piece subframe design allows an extra weight saving of 250g on 2019 models. This highly impact-resistant rear section offers a great balance of comfort and stability for better riding sensations.
MANIFOLD
The steering column of the 2019 TC 250 is narrower than that of previous models and has been designed using innovative 3D modeling processes. The result is a refined shape with more ground clearance, making it less susceptible to damage while improving performance.
WHEELS AND TIRES
The machined hubs and alloy D.I.D rim rings are finished in a stunning black color. Featuring laser-etched logos, they are outfitted with DUNLOP MX3S Motocross tires with a “lug-in-lug” design that deliver high cornering precision and superior traction on a wide variety of terrain.
WP AER 48 SUSPENSION
The 48mm fork features renewed adjustments and is easily adjustable through an individual air valve for pre-loading located on the left cylinder, as well as adjustment dials for compression and extension. In addition, the air pump required to regulate the pressure is part of the standard equipment of the motorcycle.
REAR SUSPENSION WP DCC
The WP DCC rear suspension mounts a new main slat and offers a 300mm wheel travel. With balanced pressure inside, the cushioning is uniform, resulting in greater comfort and maneuverability. The rear monoshock is fully adjustable and adapted to a link system with a specific geometry to provide maximum traction and absorption characteristics.
MAGURA HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
The reliable German high-quality MAGURA clutch system is virtually maintenance-free. This means that even with use, both modulation and lever play are constantly compensated so that resistance point and clutch function are unaffected by temperature and time.
COMPONENTS
The most futuristic technology and engineering complement the TC 250’s long list of high-quality components as standard.
PRO TAPER HANDLEBAR
With fatigue resistance and minimal weight, PRO TAPER handlebars are part of the standard equipment for the entire Husqvarna Motorcycles range of motocross 2019, and are manufactured to the highest quality standards to offer exceptional comfort and control.
MIKUNI CARBURETOR
The TC 250 is equipped with a flat-gate 38mm MIKUNI TMX carburettor that offers smooth, controllable power delivery and optimum performance throughout the entire RPM range.
DDS CLUTCH
The TC 250 equips a DDS clutch with a steel diaphragm spring instead of conventional coil springs. This design requires less effort on the lever and allows the incorporation of a shock absorber system for greater traction and durability.
