Description
The FE 250 is the smallest displacement 4-stroke enduro in the range. Its small displacement translates into great lightness, allowing it to shine on difficult and technical terrain while offering the typical 4-stroke torque-filled performance. Along with class-leading WP suspensions, selectable engine maps, and a Magura hydraulic clutch, the FE 250 equips a variety of high-end components of unsurpassed quality and reliability.
The 250cc engine is designed to be powerful, light and compact. Particular attention has been paid to the position of all the main components and to the arrangement of the axles to better adapt to the performance and performance characteristics of the assembly. As a result, the engine weighs only 27.6 kg, retaining its characteristic torque and making the FE 250 an accessible bike for both professionals and amateurs.
The cylinder head uses advanced technology to reduce weight and mechanical losses. As a result, the two camshafts rotate on a low friction surface, while the four lightweight titanium valves (32.5mm intake and 26.5mm exhaust) are driven by DLC-treated pushers ( carbon diamond type).
The FE 250 motor is designed to be compact as well as with an ideal rotating mass centering. As a result, the crankcases have been designed to locate the internal shafts at the ideal center of gravity. The lightweight crankcases have been manufactured using a high pressure casting process that allows a thin wall thickness to be achieved while maintaining exceptional reliability. The iconic Husqvarna logo is featured on the crankcase covers finished in bronze.
The hollow cast aluminum swingarm is designed to offer optimum rigidity and reliability while adding the least possible weight. Machining at the top of the rear axle allows a better view of the timing marks of the chain tensioner, which makes it easier to carry out this task.
The composite subframe is a unique Husqvarna design that showcases pioneering technologies and innovation. This 3-piece component is made of 30% carbon fiber, making it extremely light (1.4 kg) and strong. Special care has been taken to achieve the ideal stiffness in order to achieve better behavior and optimum ergonomics.
As for practicality and style, the new Pro Taper handlebar is unrivaled. Manufactured to rigorous standards, the Pro Taper handlebar achieves class-leading fatigue resistance with minimal weight. Pro Taper logos have been applied through a chemical process, so they cannot come off and are scratch resistant.
Optimized for easier operation, the map change switch also includes a new traction control function. The traction control can be connected or disconnected by means of said switch, and its operation is based on the analysis of the signal received by the pilot from the gas grip and the rate at which the RPM increases in the engine. If the RPM increases too rapidly, the control unit will record a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power delivered to the rear wheel to ensure maximum traction.
Husqvarna’s chassis incorporates an ingenious, self-cleaning footrest anchoring system that prevents mud build-up in this area. As a result, the footrest will always return to its original position, ensuring perfect control of the bike. The wide aluminum footrests are enduro-specific toothed and are also mounted 6mm higher than on motocross models to further increase ground clearance in deep stone and rut areas.
This high-quality German clutch system is virtually maintenance-free and ensures even wear and perfect modulation in any condition. This means that the play is constantly compensated so that the touch and operation of the clutch are not affected by temperature or the passage of time.
