Indian

The Indian Motorcycle Company, formerly called Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company, known simply as Indian, is a US motorcycle manufacturer, based in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. It is considered one of the two flagship motorcycle brands in the United States, (along with its biggest competitor Harley-Davidson Motor Company). It was founded in 1901, but due to economic problems it was restructured on July 20, 2006 and acquired by Polaris Industries on April 19, 2011.
