Description
The Honda NC750X is an urban trail, available in a manual and semi-automatic version with the DCT double clutch system. This versatile and practical bike stands out for the smooth power delivery of its two-cylinder in-line, eight-valve engine, brimming with low and medium-speed torque. Its engine is not too powerful, 54 hp at 6,250 rpm, but it does have an outstanding torque figure, 68 Nm at only 4,750 rpm, while the ignition cut has been increased in 2018 by 900 rpm, up to 7,500 rpm. One of the favorable aspects of this engine is in consumption, offering a range of over 400 km with the 14-liter capacity of its tank.
The NC750X 2018 has Honda’s own traction control, the HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), with two levels of performance. Tier 1 allows some rear wheel slippage, while Tier 2 offers more control on more slippery paved surfaces and is the default one. You can go from one level to another – or disconnect it – using a button located on the left handlebar.
The cycle part is made up of a steel tube chassis which stands out for its agility and ease of handling, its weight being 220 kg, the seat being located 830 mm from the ground. A conventional Showa Dual Bending Valves fork with 41mm bars optimized in compression and rebound has been mounted in front, with firm response in braking. The rear shock absorber allows adjustment in preload and has a travel of 150 mm. A single 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc form the braking system supported by a dual-channel ABS system.
Aesthetically, the NC750X is original, with a trail image in which its high screen guarantees optimal protection. Under it is the instrumentation with LCD screen that includes numerous information. The front and rear lights are LED.
One of the most striking aspects of this bike is found in the 22-liter capacity well in the front, where the fuel tank is usually placed. In this cabin it fits up to an integral helmet, as well as the set of tools that the motorcycle brings with it, a U-type padlock and the documentation. The 14.4-liter fuel tank is located under the seat.
