Description
The small V-Strom, or Baby V-Strom, is Suzuki’s trail bet on small displacement. It is a versatile model to take positions against the growing interest in low-displacement motorcycles, something that was in force in the so-called developing countries, but that is spreading in absolutely all markets, regardless of economic level. It seems that the “Less is More”, definitely succeeds.
The Suzuki V-Strom, as does the GSX-R250, takes the engine of the Suzuki Inazuma naked motorcycle but applies some improvements to optimize its performance and adaptation to Euro4 regulations. It treats of a mechanics of two cylinders in parallel with a power of almost 25 CV and a pair of 22 Nm. The best thing about this engine is the smooth running and its elasticity that allows it a wide range of use, a perfect versatility for a motorcycle with the V-Strom 250.
It equips brakes with Bosch ABS as standard and mounts new 17-inch wheels with a ten-spoke design, showing its asphalt character.
The design is more than inspired, based on its older sisters, the V-Strom 650 and the V-Strom 1000, but at the same time it has its own identity. Its appearance is very successful thanks to its semi-fairing, the screen, the duckbill and the possibility of mounting adventure-style suitcases thanks to the pre-installed side anchors and the aluminum rear grill. The instrumentation is fully digital with an LCD screen and offers a 12V power outlet.
