Description
LIGHTWEIGHT CHASSIS
The chassis of the Husqvarna 2019 motocross models offer increased stiffness that translates into better riding sensations and exceptional energy absorption and straight-line stability. The chassis is finished with a premium powder blue paint coating and standard guards that ensure superior protection and durability.
MECHANIZED STEERING PLATES
New machined aluminum headrests with a 22mm advance incorporate an elastic damping system that reduces vibrations and improves rider comfort. In addition, the front number plate integrates a protector of the steering plates.
WP AER 48 SUSPENSION
The lightweight WP AER 48 fork is easy to adjust via an air valve for preloading using the standard supplied pump. Compression and extension adjustments are very easy to do without tools. Together with the fully adjustable WP DCC rear shock, Husqvarna offers superior suspension feel, comfort and performance.
REAR SUBCHASSIS IN CARBON FIBER
Carbon fiber is highly prized for its low weight and high strength. For these reasons, the Husqvarna MX range equips an exclusive subframe made of composite material with 30% carbon fiber. In addition, it has been calculated so that it has a specific rigidity for optimal behavior and ergonomics.
ENGINE
Designed to ensure class-leading performance and handling characteristics, all major engine components and axles have been carefully positioned close to the bike’s center of gravity to reduce the effects of rolling mass inertia. The 250 cc 4-stroke engine is not only light, weighing just 26.1 kg, but also remarkably powerful, totaling 46 hp.
CYLINDER HEAD DOHC
With DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) treated valve pushers, the DOHC cylinder head has been designed to provide a high level of performance. Large valves – 32.5mm at the intake and 26.5mm at the exhaust – help the engine rotate up to 14,000 rpm, also offering smooth and efficient power delivery throughout the entire rev range. .
CRANKSHAFT CRANKCASE
All Husqvarna 2019 motocross engines have been designed prioritizing mass centering and weight reduction. In this sense, the casings have been designed to house the different internal components of the engine to achieve the ideal center of gravity with the least possible weight. The crankcases have been manufactured using a high pressure casting process that allows a fine wall thickness to be achieved while maintaining exceptional robustness. The iconic Husqvarna logo is featured on the crankcase covers finished in bronze.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
Designed in lightweight aluminum, the FC 250’s exhaust system incorporates a new newly designed flow resonance chamber integrated into the manifold. The new muffler is shorter and more compact, maintaining the same level of absorption volume and sound level while still offering impressive power.
MAP CHANGE SWITCH
A serial map change switch allows output control to be activated and toggle between 2 motor maps. It also activates the traction control system. Both traction control and the exit control feature receive updated settings to improve traction on slippery floors and allow for faster exits.
ELECTRICAL START
The combination of a light starter motor and a compact battery allows you to start the engine or recover from a stall at the touch of a button.
PRO TAPER HANDLEBAR
2019 marks the incorporation of new PRO TAPER handlebars with a renewed curvature that increases comfort by improving the pressure point in the area of the rider’s hands, while the standard hand covers offer maximum protection against impacts.
ODI GRIPS
ODI lock-on grips feature a new integrated throttle mechanism and a glue-free mounting system. The gas grip assembly allows easy adjustment of free play and throttle cam.
MAGURA HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
Silk-smooth actuation and a practical absence of maintenance are some of the advantages of the MAGURA hydraulic clutch system. The free play is constantly compensated so that the resistance point and the operation of the clutch remain identical without being affected by temperature conditions or the passage of time.
CLUTCH DS
In 2019, the FC 250 equips a new diaphragm spring clutch, which allows a weight saving of 190 g. The hood is machined from a single piece of steel, allowing the use of thinner discs of the same material, contributing to the compact dimensions of the engine.
GEARBOX
Manufactured by PANKL RACING SYSTEMS, the 5-speed gearbox is extremely light and robust, with specific internal relationships for practicing motocross.
BRAKES
The highest level of braking performance is guaranteed by the highest quality Brembo set of knobs and calipers. Solid 260mm front and 220mm rear brake discs offer superior stopping power and total confidence in all conditions.
