Description

Powerful single cylinder engine with optimized efficiency combined with CVT transmission, vibration decoupling and ASC.

The C 400 GT is powered by the efficiency optimized single cylinder engine with a power of 34 hp (25 kW) as is also used in the C 400 X. Power transmission is via a CVT gearbox (Transmission Continuous Variable) and a torsion. Rigid drive swing arm with innovative bearing for minimal vibration and therefore maximum comfort. Automatic stability control The ASC guarantees greater safety during acceleration, especially on slippery surfaces.

Robust tubular steel frame, telescopic fork and high-performance brake system with ABS as standard.

Like the BMW C 400 X, the new C 400 GT features a robust tubular steel frame. Suspension and damping are provided by a telescopic fork at the front and two spring struts at the rear. The spring layout and ride have been selected to ensure that sporty, dynamic driving fun is combined with a very high level of comfort. The dual disc brake at the front along with a disc brake at the rear, along with ABS, offers supreme performance and exceptional safety.

LED lighting technology as standard and BMW Motorrad connectivity as a factory option.

In addition to standard lighting in LED technology, the new C 400 GT also offers a variety of connectivity highlights that are new to the segment. A multifunction instrument cluster with a 6.5-inch full-color TFT screen is available as a factory option, for example. Together with the advanced BMW Motorrad multi-controller that offers integrated operation, this means that the driver can access the connectivity and vehicle functions quickly and without being distracted from what is happening on the road. In addition to the convenience of being able to use the phone and listen to music while traveling, it also offers the advantage of effortless navigation using a practical arrow system.

In terms of style, the new C 400 GT can be instantly identified as a member of the BMW Motorrad C family: it is stylish and functional in appearance, always ready and waiting for a relaxed city cruise or more extended tours with one passenger. Viewed from the front, it is dominated by aerodynamically designed dual LED headlights with the distinctive design of the (country specific) LED daytime running light in the form of fiber optic elements. Coupled with its smooth, highly organic body element with integrated turn indicators, this ensures that the new Gran Turismo for the midsize scooter segment clearly distinguishes itself from its competitors. With improved wind and weather protection thanks to a higher windshield than the C 400 X, as well as a carefully designed storage concept that includes two glove boxes and the flexible case under the comfortable single-section seat, the new Medium-sized scooter also offers everything that is needed to meet the demands of everyday practicality and touring suitability. As an additional comfort feature, the new C 400 GT is equipped with Keyless Ride as standard. This makes operation, steering lock, seat, filler cap and storage compartments very convenient. The new C 400 GT features improved comfort properties in the form of a seat with a driver’s backrest and separate passenger footrests instead of footrests.

Attractive paint finishes for distinctive character qualities.

There is a choice of two paint finishes for the new C 400 GT. Alpine White impressively highlights the distinctive style of the scooter. As a fresh color with a feeling of lightness, it also highlights the key qualities of the new Gran Turismo, such as agility, easy accessibility and ease of effort. The counterpart to this is Moonwalk Gray, which confirms the supreme, contemporary and harmonious character of a dynamic Gran Turismo. This paint finish gives the new C 400 GT a particularly modern touch, in harmony with applied contrast colors to create a consistent overall look. The third paint finish is Blackstorm Metallic, which highlights the distinctive, high-quality look of the C 400 GT.
