The new Diavel 1260 receives the prestigious “Red Dot Design Award 2019” for its unmistakable style
The new Diavel 1260 has won one of the most prestigious international design awards, the “Red Dot Award: Best of the Best” in the Product Design category.
True to its annual appointment since 1955, the “Red Dot Design Award” has nominated the most original and meritorious candidates in terms of design and innovation. After the evaluation of more than 5,500 products, a highly qualified jury composed of 40 famous international experts has nominated the new Diavel 1260 with the prestigious title “Red Dot Award 2019: Best of the Best”.
This is the third time that the Bolognese company succeeds, after previous awards given to two emblematic motorcycles such as the 1199 Panigale of 2013 and the XDiavel S of 2016, which shows how a Ducati motorcycle can be an icon of style, innovation and performance
Powerful and muscular, the new Diavel 1260 combines the performance of a maxi-naked with the ergonomics of a muscular cruiser. Its sophisticated design reinterprets the Diavel style in a contemporary key and integrates a Testastretta DVT 1262 engine with 159 hp, the real heart that beats on the bike.

The highlight of this award is the gala ceremony of the Red Dot Award, which will take place on July 8 at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, with the presence of 1,200 guests representing the most prominent international design professionals.
