The concept of the Brutale 800 Dragster is inspired by the original American Dragsters, some very powerful motorcycles created specifically to release their enormous power in a few seconds to undertake races in a straight line, just the time it takes to release the clutch moments after being agitated the checkered flag. This radical evolution of the Brutale 800 endows this bike with top-of-the-line qualities, focusing on providing superior acceleration. MV Agusta has done an excellent job on a propeller that weighs the same as the 675. The piston stroke has been increased to 54.3mm and more torque has been achieved at less rpm while maintaining the same maximum rpm limit. The crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons are new, in order to increase the compression ratio. For its control it has the MVICS system (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System), which coordinates various parameters such as the electronic gas “Ride by Wire”, the power management of the four-map engine and the traction control.

The suspension system has a complete adjustment system, which allows adjustment in compression and extension, as well as determining the degree of spring preload. The Marzocchi inverted fork, with 43 mm. Ø, provides 125 mm. travel. The Sachs rear shock, articulated with the single-arm swingarm made of aluminum alloy, also provides 125 mm. travel.
