Kwang Yang Motor Company (KYMCO), is Taiwan’s leading motorcycle brand.

It is located in the port city Kaohsiung, south of the island of Taiwan, although it also has five factories in China and one in Indonesia. It has complete manufacturing of engines, chassis, components, assembly line, warehouse and distribution.

This Taiwanese company was founded in 1963 to make parts for Honda. The company built its first complete scooter in 1970 and began marketing under “Kymco”, brand name in 1992. The headquarters of Kymco and the main factory are located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The company has approximately 7,0001 employees and produces more than 480,000 vehicles per year. The company has overseas production factories in Jakarta (Indonesia), Shanghai, Changsha and Chengdu (China).

The brand is mainly aimed at the manufacture of scooters (from mopeds to 500 cc), widely accepted in Eastern countries, although it also manufactures other types of motorcycles; In Spain, in addition to scooters, it distributes custom motorcycles (up to 250 cc) and quads (up to 700 cc).
