Description
The FE 350 is known for its versatility on all types of terrain. With a light cycle part and high performance, the FE 350 offers a weight-to-power ratio similar to that of a 450, but maintaining the lightness and agility of a 250. In combination with WP suspensions, traction control and a Comfortable ergonomics, the FE 350 is not far behind when things get tough.
The new 350cc DOHC engine is unrivaled when it comes to versatility. Sharing most of its components with that of the FE 250, the FE 350’s engine provides a significant increase in power and torque, comparable to those of the heavier 450 cc.
The flat bearing of the connecting rod head and the two pressure-mounted bushings thereof guarantee maximum reliability and durability, and long service intervals of up to 135 hours.
The FE 350 motor is designed to be compact as well as with an ideal rotating mass centering. As a result, the crankcases have been designed to locate the internal shafts at the ideal center of gravity. The lightweight crankcases have been manufactured using a high pressure casting process that allows a thin wall thickness to be achieved while maintaining exceptional reliability. The iconic Husqvarna logo is featured on the crankcase covers finished in bronze.
The radiators are made from highly resistant aluminum and are the result of the expert work of WP Performance Systems. The CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics Modeling) process is used to achieve a more efficient channeling of the air through the radiators and to achieve optimal cooling under all conditions. The cooling system is integrated into the chassis itself, which increases the heat dissipation capacity by circulating the liquid through the tubes of the chassis and in turn eliminates the need for additional tubes. Radiator guards not only protect radiators from stones thrown by other rivals, they also filter impacts in the environment of the radiator and the chassis itself.
The FE 350 incorporates a 42mm Keihin butterfly valve body. The injector position has been revised and modified to ensure the best efficiency of gasoline flow in the combustion chamber. In addition, the throttle cable mounts directly without intermediate mechanical connections, providing a more immediate throttle response and feel.
Optimized for easier operation, the map change switch also includes a new traction control function. The traction control can be connected or disconnected by means of said switch, and its operation is based on the analysis of the signal received by the pilot from the gas grip and the rate at which the RPM increases in the engine. If the RPM increases too rapidly, the control unit will record a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power delivered to the rear wheel to ensure maximum traction.
The FE 350 mounts a new 6-speed gearbox with a wider internal ratio specific to enduro practice. The shift fork employs a special low friction coating to ensure smooth and precise gear shifting, while a sensor enables the EMS to deliver optimal power delivery by selecting a specific engine map tailored for each gear.
