The new 2018 Indian Scout was presented during the Sturgis rally and the custom motorcycle brand Indian Motorcycles has reinvented a model with a history facing the 21st century and that is the model of access to the brand.

The innovations in custom motorcycles are coming little by little and brands like Indian are showing the new members in their range for next year. If recently I was the Indian Roadmaster now and taking advantage of the Sturgis concentration they have presented the new Indian Scout.

The new Indian Scout 2018 mounts the new 1,133 cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine that offers a power of about 100 HP with a torque of 98 Nm at 5,900 rpm, offering good acceleration and top speed for this type of segment .

Equipped with an electronic injection closed circuit powered by an electronic throttle which works with the 6-speed closed box with Overdrive.

The new Indian Scout chassis is made of a light and rigid aluminum that combined with a low seat height of only 643 mm makes it accessible to any type of user thanks to its great comfort and ease of driving.

This is the first true Indian Scout in over 70 years and marks the return of the legendary bikes that conquered the “Wall of Death” and led the legendary “Indian Wrecking Crew” racing team to multiple victories.

The classic “rigid triangle” look that is synonymous with the original Scout has been respected, combined with excellent overall finishes and an accurate color palette.

In the suspension section, these custom bikes have a conventional fork at the front, while behind them are the two premium spring shock absorbers with a stroke of 76 that provide great ride comfort.

Regarding the braking system and despite its classic custon motorcycle style design, technology also comes to these models and to improve braking performance it comes with ABS as standard. The brake equipment is completed with a 298 mm disc at the front and 2-piston caliper, mounting at the rear the same disc bit by single caliper.

Weighing 255 kg when empty, this Indian Motorcycles custom bike is considered to be the lightest in the category and, thanks to its low seat height, makes it easy to handle, both when stationary and while driving.

It has a capacity in the fuel tank for 12.5 liters, favoring good autonomy. Another typical aspect of this custom motorcycle model will be its single-seater seat in genuine leather in brown.

This model, which has been completely redesigned, keeping only the name, but the same essence of Indian Motorcycles custom motorcycle.
